2Īfter a pandemic hiatus, this beloved three-day music festival is back - and as free as ever. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, Sept. Rick "Baby Grandpa," Coyote and Tygar Larry created a foam bath at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park on Oct. Check the website the week before to glimpse the creative flyers and get a sense of the vibe. Each performance has a different motif, and October promises horror themes, including “Slay” on Oct. “Casual Friday” naked shows take place at the Sand Ladder, while Saturday and Sunday shows go down at Lobos Creek. Like the name suggests, the shows begin an hour before sunset (for the most flattering of lighting, of course) and take advantage of Baker Beach’s clothing-optional ethos. You can catch a sunset drag show on the beach three times per week all year round, but SF’s warmest month makes this weekly show even more of a must-see. Golden Hour Drag, weekends through October
